If you’re unhappy about something to do with your pension, you should contact Aptia in the first instance. If you are still unhappy after hearing back from Aptia, you can contact the pension scheme Trustees. The Trustees have a formal two-stage process that you can use called the Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure (IDRP). Aptia will send you the information you need for this. If you’re still unhappy after this, you can contact the Pensions Ombudsman. They can investigate complaints and explain how the law affects your pension scheme.

The Pensions Regulator was set up by the government to work with employers, scheme managers and trustees, to help protect people’s pensions. They can’t answer a complaint, but you can report a concern about your workplace pension to them. This is known as ‘whistleblowing’.
